Founded in 2002, Mudpuppy pottery
started as a hobby and vocational therapy for owners Lester and Wendy Schmidt.
Our mission is to provide comfortable,
food safe, and functional beautiful art pottery. One enjoys using hand made pottery, especially if it is a delight to the
eye.
We never use dangerous chemicals.
We mix our own glazes, and will soon be mixing our own clay. Items meant for serving food are also dishwasher safe.
We enjoy trying new things. Some
of the decorative pieces are fired as primitive people fired their pottery: in bonfires.
There is a new line of pottery: custom
tile, made to order.
Our business is an ongoing, dynamic
process. We do pottery for the love of pottery and the joy of mud. It is purely amazing that mud can be transformed into cups
and bowls which will last for thousands of years. Join us in our appreciation of the medium and the art.

priority mail or UPS.
